Unplugging at Camp Staff Training Module

We are so connected to millions of people every day through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, emails, and all the other platforms. We sometimes forget what it means and why it matters to put those devices aside and to live in the moment. When was the last time you put down all your electronics, watches included, and just sat, went on a walk, or hung out with someone? Maybe you haven’t ever done this or it has been so long you don’t remember. Maybe you make it a practice to do this every so often to regroup and reset yourself. This summer you get to lead by example on how to unplug, to live in the moment, and be with those around you.

Unplugging at camp facilitates connection, connection facilitates relationships with God and others, and that's how faith is formed. This 15-minute training module and the accompanying worksheet are designed to help your summer staff know why unplugging matters, the difference living unplugged at camp makes, and some ideas on how to shift from what may be their norm.
